Welcome to The Beauty Institute of Jamaica! If you have travelled to Jamaica for your studies we welcome you to our island home. We are excited to offer international students the opportunity to pursue their beauty education with us, no matter where you are in the world.
Online Classes:
For students who cannot travel to Jamaica, we provide a comprehensive online learning experience. Our online classes are live and interactive, with a teacher guiding you through each step of the curriculum. This ensures you receive the same high-quality education as our on-campus students, with real-time support and engagement.
Online Exams:
You will also have the convenience of taking your exams online. However, please note that all external assessments, which include a theory test and a practical assessment, must be completed in person. These assessments typically take one day, lasting 4 to 5 hours.
Planning Your Visit:
When it's time for your external assessment, we encourage you to plan your visit to Jamaica in advance. Our team will provide you with all the necessary information to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

Afforded to Our Student
Once a student is enrolled in our school you will receive:-
A Student ID Card
This is valued for the duration of the course. This card is to be taken to school on school days and is your passport to your exams. If lost or stolen the student is responsible to replace this card at their expense.
An Insurance Discount Card
This card will ensure that each student has the opportunity to health care. This card will last for the duration of your course. It maybe continued with discussions with the provider.
Students Opportunities
Enter a world made for our valued students. Once you are a registered student at the institute we will give you a unique password to access this exclusive area.
Students are encourage to be themselves. Our classes are small and afford for each student to express themselves freely. If you have an issue we the staff and the teachers are here for you. We can and will provide you with one on one time or group secession to ensure that you know that what you maybe facing that you have someone else walking in your shoes.
Every student is encourage to participate in all group activities and outings with the proper permission granted. Each student can via for the chance to be CLASS REPRESENTATIVE and DEPUTY CLASS REP. These positions comes with responsibility but also reward.

Two Ways to Learn at The Beauty Institute of Jamaica
At The Beauty Institute of Jamaica, we offer two flexible learning options to cater to both local and international students.
Fully Online Learning
Our online learning program provides complete flexibility to study from anywhere in the world. All classes are delivered online, and you can access lessons and materials at your convenience. For practical experience, we offer two options:
On-demand Practical Sessions: You can visit the school to schedule one-on-one practical sessions with our expert instructors.
Guided Practical Sessions at Home: Alternatively, you can set up practical sessions at home, and our expert instructor will guide you remotely.
This option is ideal for international students who are unable to travel to Jamaica, as well as local students who prefer to study from the comfort of their home or persons who are out of town with travel issues.
Blended Learning (Online + In-Class)
The blended learning approach combines the flexibility of online lessons with in-person instruction. While some theoretical classes are delivered online with the guidance of the teacher, practical sessions are held in person at the school. This allows you to benefit from hands-on experience while enjoying the convenience of online learning.
This option is perfect for students who prefer to be in the classroom. The blended approach offers the best of both worlds—interactive, in-class training supported by a comprehensive online learning experience.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
Minimum Age: 17 years or older.
Educational Background: High school leavers with a minimum of three subjects, including a pass in either Mathematics or English.
Proficiency Test: If you do not have a pass in Mathematics or English, you must complete a proficiency test to demonstrate the required academic skills.
Must Have: A valid ID, TRN and passport size pictures
